Blower Motor: Service and Repair

Remove or Disconnect
1. Battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
2. VCM or PCM. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center Replacement PCM/VCM in Engine Controls.
3. Coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
4. Cooling tube.
5. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
6. Screws.
7. Blower motor and fan assembly.
8. Pull hose away from evaporator core.

Install or Connect
1. Hose to evaporator core
2. Blower motor and fan assembly.
3. Screws.

Tighten
- Screws to 1.9 N.m (17 lb in).

4. Electrical connectors, as necessary.
5. Cooling tube.
6. Coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement in Engine Cooling.
7. VCM or PCM. Refer to Underhood Electrical Center Replacement PCM/VCM in Engine Controls.
8. Battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
9. Perform heater function test. Refer to Heater Function Test.
