Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Condenser Assembly:




Remove or Disconnect
1. Recover refrigerant from the system.
2. Upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
3. Radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
4. Compressor and condenser hose assembly from condenser. Refer to Compressor and Condenser Hose Assembly.
5. Evaporator tube from condenser. Refer to Evaporator Tube.
6. Insulator retainer bolts and upper insulator retainers.
7. Condenser.

Condenser Assembly:




Install or Connect
1. Condenser.
2. Upper insulator retainers and insulator retainer bolts.

Tighten
- Bolts to 2.4 N.m (21 lb in)

3. Evaporator tube to condenser.
4. Compressor and condenser hose assembly to condenser. Refer to Compressor and Condenser Hose Assembly.
5. Radiator. Refer to Radiator Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
6. Upper fan shroud. Refer to Fan Shroud Replacement in Engine Mechanical.
7. Refrigerant to the system.
- Check the system for leaks.
