Cruise Control Module: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Disconnect the cruise control cable.
3. Disconnect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
4. Remove the fasteners that retain the cruise control module to the cowl panel.
5. Remove the cruise control module from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure
1. Install the cruise control module to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precautions.




2. Install the fasteners that retain the cruise control module to the cowl panel.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 4.5 N.m (40 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connectors, as necessary.
4. Install the cruise control cable.
5. Connect the battery negative cable.
6. Test the systems operation.
