Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair




REMOVAL
1. Remove the air cleaner outlet resonator.
2. Remove the TP sensor attaching screws (1).
3. Remove the TP sensor (2) and seal (3).




INSTALLATION
1. With the throttle valve in the normal closed (idle) position, install the throttle position sensor (2) and the seal (3) on the throttle Body assembly.

2. IMPORTANT: Install the new TP sensor attaching screws when replacing TP sensor.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precautions.

Install two TP sensor screws (1).

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 3 N.m (27 lb in).

3. Install the air cleaner outlet resonator.
