Map Light Bulb: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure

On pickup models, the dome lamp is located on the roof panel above the rear glass.

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Service Precautions.




1. Disconnect the battery negative cable.
2. Squeeze the dome lamp lens in order to remove the lens.
3. Remove the dome lamp bulb.
4. Remove the screws that retain the dome lamp base to the high mount stop lamp from inside the vehicle.
5. Remove the dome lamp from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the dome lamp base to the vehicle.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Note in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws that retain the dome lamp base to the high mount stop lamp from inside the vehicle.

Tighten
Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).

3. Install the dome lamp bulb.
4. Install the dome lamp lens.
5. Squeeze the lens in order to engage the tabs.
6. Connect the battery negative cable.
