A/C High Pressure Cut-Out Switch

Removal Procedure




1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
2. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
3. Disconnect the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch connector (2).
4. Remove the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch connector retaining ring.
5. Remove the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch from the A/C Compressor.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch to the A/C Compressor.
2. Install the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch connector retaining ring.
3. Connect the A/C High Pressure Cut-out Switch connector (2).
4. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement in Engine Controls - 4.3L.
5. Evacuate and recharge the A/C refrigerant system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging.
6. Ensure that no leaks exist in the A/C system. Refer to Leak Testing.
