Functional Check (HVAC)

As an aid in determining whether or not the air conditioning, electrical, air, and refrigeration systems are operating properly, refer to the System Performance table.
1. The operation of the air conditioning blower at all four speeds, in any position except the OFF position, and the engagement of the compressor clutch indicate that the electrical circuits are functioning properly. The blower will not operate in any speed with the mode button in the OFF position.
2. The operation of the A/C control selector in the distribution of air from the designated outlets indicates proper functioning.

Cold and Hot Air Test
The temperature from the defroster outlet should be above the temperature outside of the vehicle when the following conditions are present:
- The mode knob is in the DEFROST position.
- The temp knob is in the HOT position.
- The fan switch is in the HIGH position.
