Brake Light Switch: Service and Repair

Removal Procedure
1. Remove the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement -Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.





2. Disconnect the electrical connector from the stoplamp switch.





3. Remove the pushrod retainer from the brake pedal pin.





4. Remove the stoplamp switch. Unsnap the switch from the brake pedal pin

Installation Procedure





1. Install the stoplamp switch on the brake pedal pin. The switch will snap in place.





2. Install the pushrod retainer on the brake pedal pin.





3. Install the electrical connector on the stoplamp switch.
4. Install the left closeout insulator panel. Refer to Closeout/Insulator Panel Replacement Left in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Warning Indicators.
