Manual Transmission - NV 1500

Removal Procedure
1. Raise the vehicle.





2. Remove the electrical connector from the vehicle speed sensor.





3. Remove the following parts:
1. The bolt
2. The vehicle speed sensor
3. The chamfer seal

Installation Procedure
1. Coat a new chamfer seal with a thin film of transmission oil. Use Synchromesh Transmission Fluid or the equivalent.





2. Install the following parts:
1. The chamfer on the vehicle speed sensor assembly
2. The vehicle speed sensor assembly
3. The bolt
^ Tighten the bolt to 22 Nm (16 ft. lbs.).





3. Install the electrical connector to the vehicle speed sensor.
4. Lower the vehicle.
