Handle Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Swing the end gate open.
2. Remove the trim panel from the end gate.
3. Remove the rear body control module.
4. Remove the inner panel reinforcement.




5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the end gate handle(s).




6. Remove the screws retaining the handle(s) to the license plate pocket.
7. Remove the handle(s) from the end gate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the handle(s) to the end gate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws retaining the handle(s) to the license plate pocket.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).




3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the end gate handle(s).
4. Install the inner panel reinforcement.
5. Install the rear body control module.
6. Install the trim panel to the end gate.
