Support Cable Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Open the end gate (drop mode).
2. Support the end gate using the prop rod.




3. Remove the bolts retaining the support cable to the end gate and the body.
4. Remove the support cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the support cable to the vehicle.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the bolts retaining the support cable to the end gate and to the body.

Tighten the support cable bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

3. Remove the prop rod and return it to its storage position.
4. Close the end gate.
