Latch Replacement - Endgate Left Lower

Removal Procedure




1. Swing the end gate open.
2. Remove the end gate trim panel.
3. Remove the end gate inner reinforcement panel.
4. Remove the screws retaining the latch assembly (1) to the end gate.
5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch.
6. Remove the latch from the end gate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the latch (1) to the end gate.
2. Connect the electrical connector to the latch assembly.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

3. Install the screws retaining the latch assembly to the end gate.

Tighten the latch screws to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Install the end gate inner reinforcement panel.
5. Install the end gate trim panel.
