Latch Replacement - Endgate Right Upper

Removal Procedure




1. Open the end gate (drop mode).
2. Remove the bolts retaining the latch bracket assembly to the end gate.
3. Remove the latch bracket assembly from the end gate.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the latch assembly.




5. Remove the screws retaining the latch assembly to the latch bracket.
6. Remove the latch assembly from the bracket.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the latch assembly to the latch bracket.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws retaining the latch assembly to the latch bracket.

Tighten the latch screws to 12 N.m (106 lb in).

3. Connect the electrical connector to the latch assembly.




4. Install the latch bracket assembly to the end gate.
5. Install the bolts retaining the latch assembly bracket to the end gate.

Tighten the latch bracket bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).
