Handle Replacement - Endgate

Removal Procedure

1. Swing the endgate open.
2. Remove the trim panel from the endgate.
3. Remove the rear body control module.
4. Remove the inner panel reinforcement.




5. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from the endgate handles.




6. Remove the screws retaining the handles to the license plate pocket.
7. Remove the handles from the endgate.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the handles to the endgate.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the screws retaining the handles to the license plate pocket.

Tighten the screws to 2.5 N.m (22 lb in).




3. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the endgate handles.
4. Install the inner panel reinforcement.
5. Install the rear body control module.
6. Install the trim panel to the endgate.
