38. Input Carrier Inspection
Input Carrier Inspection 1.
Important: Check end play on each pinion. Clearance is the same for 4 or 5 pinion design.
Check the input carrier pinion end play. The end play must not exceed
0.61 mm (0.024 inch). 2.
Inspect the input carrier for pinion gear damage, proper pin stake and keystoned pinion gears. Pinions must rotate freely.
