Knock Sensor 1 Replacement

Removal Procedure

NOTICE: The knock sensor 1 is located on the left side of the engine (driver side).

1. Raise vehicle and suitably support the vehicle.






2. Unsnap the heat shield around the knock sensor 1 electrical connector and move out of the way.
3. Disconnect the knock sensor 1 electrical connector.
4. Remove the knock sensor 1 bolt and remove knock sensor 1.

Installation Procedure

NOTICE: Fastener Notice

1. Position the knock sensor 1 so the electrical connector faces the 4-5 o'clock position and install the attachment bolt.

Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 25 N.m (18 lb ft)






2. Connect the knock sensor 1 electrical connector.
3. Reinstall the heat shield over the knock sensor 1 electrical connector making sure to connect the button.
4. Lower the vehicle.
