Door - Excessive Closing Load

SUBJECT: REAR DOOR UPPER HINGE BOLT
MODEL: XJ6 & VDP
On some Vehicles a foul condition can exist between the head of the rear door upper hinge center bolt and the inner hinge.
This condition can result in an excessive door closing load and possible B C post twisting and body and windnoise.
Rectification can be made by removing the bolt and grinding the bolt head to provide adequate clearance and refinishing with the appropriate body color. A shop time allowance of 0.25 hrs. is provided.
