Water Control Valve

Water Control Valve:

Using long nose vise grips or suitable hose clamps, carefully clamp heater hoses on each side of water valve.
Loosen hose clamps and disconnect hoses on each side of water valve.
Remove vacuum hose from top of valve.
Run windshield wipers and stop them in mid-sweep.

Intake Air Grille:

Locate the two points on the fresh air intake grille that press into the body clips and lift the grille next to those points. (The grille is plastic.)
Carefully lift fresh air intake grille from body.
Remove two machine screws attaching valve mounting bracket to firewall.
Remove valve from mounting bracket.
Fit new valve.
Reverse steps to refit.
