Removal and Installation


The fuel pump is located beneath the luggage compartment floor. It is flexibly mounted and secured using noise and shock absorbing material. The pump is a roller type machine delivering a continuous flow of fuel under pressure.






1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Depressurize fuel system. Fuel Pressure Release
3. Remove the spare wheel
4. Clamp the inlet and outlet pipes, release the clips and pull the pipes from the pump unions (1).
5. Remove the electrical connector.
6. Remove the screws securing the pump mounting bracket (3).
7. Remove securing nuts from clamp and withdraw the pump (4).
8. Reverse above procedure to refit, locating the earth wire on bright metal beneath one securing screw.
