Distributor Removal

1. Be sure ignition switch is OFF.

Distributor:

2. Remove distributor cap.
3. Disconnect vacuum hose from advance unit.
4. Disconnect wiring from distributor to amplifier.

Ignition Components:

5. Loosen distributor clamp bolt.
6. Note relative position of advance unit to engine block and remove distributor.

NOTE: Distributor drive will only engage one way.
Be sure to check distributor shaft for play before installing.

7. Reverse steps to refit.
8. Adjust ignition timing. Should be:

14° BTDC at idle with vacuum hose disconnected.
