Pick-Up Coil: Service and Repair
Distributor:
1.
Remove
distributor cap, rotor, and flash shield.
2.
Disconnect wiring from pick-up module to amplifier.
3.
Remove screws securing pick-up module to mounting plate and remove module.
4.
Reverse steps to refit. Be sure to adjust pick-up module air gap to:
0.008 in (0.20 mm) to 0.014 in (0.35 mm) 5.
Adjust
ignition timing. Should be:
14° BTDC at idle with vacuum hose disconnected.
