SUBJECT: KENT MOORE PULSE DURATION TESTER

MODEL: XJ6 & XJ-S HE


A tester for measuring the duration of the electrical pulse to the injectors is available from Kent Moore Tool Division. The part number is J-33915.

The tester is useful as an aid in the diagnosis of fuel injection malfunctions, however, it should be stressed that the unit does not replace the Epitest method of complete system checking.

Reference to the use of the pulse duration tester is made in the Performance Masters AV Program - "Performance Part 2".
It is also demonstrated as a diagnostic tool in Jaguar Cars Inc. technical training courses.

The following chart, from the AV program material, indicates approximate pulse times for various engine conditions.
