Coolant Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Open the bonnet and remove the pressure cap, disconnect the catchment tank hose and remove the tank securing screws.
Cut the ratchet strap (1) securing the coolant probe block connector.
Place a suitable receptacle below the tank, then lift the tank from its position on the wing and drain into the suitable container.
Slacken the expansion tank hose clips and disconnect the hoses from the tank.
Slacken the coolant level probe securing collar (2), remove and discard the probe and seal.

Reverse the removal procedure to refit the replacement probe, ensuring a new seal is used.
Top up the expansion tank with coolant, ensure this is of the correct solution of water and anti-freeze.
Refit the pressure cap and close the bonnet.
