Removal and Installation

Removal
1. Depressurize the air conditioning system.





2. Disconnect the expansion valve hose from the dryer bottle (1)
3. Remove and discard the "0" ring seal.
4. Fit a protective cap to the hose.
5. Remove the nuts and washers securing the dryer bottle (2).
6. Disconnect the dryer bottle from the condenser. Tightening torque 15-17 Nm (11-12.5 ft lb).
7. Remove and discard the "0" ring seal and fit a protective cap to the condenser outlet.
8. Remove the dryer bottle. Tightening torque 7-10 Nm (5.1-7.3 ft lb).

NOTE:
- Installation is the reverse of removal.
- When installing the dryer bottle ensure new "0" rings are fitted.
- Ensure the union nuts are tightened to the correct torque. Flush, evacuate, and recharge the system.
