Test 6-Voltage Control Setting

1.
Disconnect +D lead from
alternator.

Connect a ammeter between disconnect lead and alternator +D terminal.
3.
Connect a voltmeter across battery.
4.
Start and run engine at charging speed until ammeter registers less than 10 amps.
5.
Voltmeter should register 14 volts. If not as specified, replace regulator.
