Insulated Line Voltage Drop Test
Fig. 2 Insulated Line Voltage Drop Test:
1. Connect voltmeter between starter input terminal and insulated battery terminal, Fig. 2.
2. Voltage reading with starter switch circuit open should read battery voltage. With starter switch closed, voltage reading should be zero.
3. A high voltmeter reading indicates a high resistance in starter circuit.
4. Check all insulated connections at battery, solenoid and starter.
