CLIMATE CONTROL SYSTEM

KEY POINTS: TEMPERATURE INSTABILITY/ LACK OF FOOTWELL HEAT


ISSUE:

Climate Control System instability or lack of front footwell heat resulting in unnecessary replacement of the A/C control panel or ECU.

ACTION:

On pre-VIN 605855 vehicles which exhibit temperature instability, install a motorized aspirator kit (consisting of JLM 1947 and CBC 9133). For kit installation procedure, refer to Technical Bulletin section 82, number 13.

If additional footwell heat is required on post-VIN 605856 vehicles, select "Manual" mode and increase the temperature setting and adjust the face vent slide control to the desired temperature.


NOTE: Do not replace the A/C control panel or ECU unless a permanent component fault exists.
