Oil Pan: Service and Repair


1. Remove front crossmember, then drain engine oil.
2. Remove bolt securing dipstick tube to intake manifold. Remove dipstick assembly.
3. Remove air cleaner assembly and alternator.
4. Remove rear spacers and move power steering lines for access.
5. Loosen union securing oil return tube to pan, then disconnect exhaust to bellhousing bracket.
6. Remove clamp securing transmission oil lines to pan.
7. Remove all but two oil pan bolts.
8. Remove bellhousing to pan securing bolts.
9. Remove two remaining oil pan bolts and lower pan.
10. Reverse procedure to install. Tighten to specifications.
