Rear Brakes

The following bleeding procedure is for all maintenance work except motor/pump unit, fluid intake hose, or actuation unit.
1. Be sure vehicle is on level surface and standing still.
2. Switch ignition OFF and discharge accumulator by operating brake pedal until it is difficult to engage (approximately 20 times).
3. Be sure reservoir is approximately 2mm below bottom of filler neck.
4. Open one bleed nipple, fully depress brake pedal and hold.
5. Switch ignition ON and wait minimum of 15 seconds, until fluid flows air free.
6. Close bleed nipple and release pedal slowly.
7. Switch ignition OFF and bleed remaining rear caliper using same procedure.
