Coolant Specification Change - Coolant 9542 (Yellow)

Remove and destroy Bulletin 26-17, dated 2/98.
Replace with this Bulletin.
Revisions are marked with a bar and asterisks.

ISSUE:

A revised coolant, Jaguar D542, which is yellow, has superseded D985 which was blue-green.

ACTION:

All vehicles can be topped up with D542.

If vehicle requires repairs that involve a major loss of coolant, *drain the system of D985 and refill with coolant D542. Do not flush the cooling system*. Place a coolant reservoir label (part no. MNA 7698AA) on the coolant reservoir to indicate that the vehicle has been converted. Use only Jaguar D542 coolant when subsequently topping up the coolant level.
