Air Injection Pump Clutch: Service and Repair

Air Pump Replacement:






NOTE: Number references in text specify numbered components in image.

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Loosen link arm adjuster nut (3).
3. Loosen but do not remove link arm trunnion bolt (4).
4. Loosen link arm pivot bolt (5).
5. Loosen but do not remove pump pivot nut/bolt (6).
6. Pivot pump toward engine and remove drive belt from pump pulley.
7. Remove clutch plate retaining nut (8) and remove plate.
8. Remove pulley retaining circlip and remove pulley.
9. Unplug clutch coil electrical connector.
10. Remove clutch coil retaining circlip and remove coil.
11. Reverse removal procedure to install new clutch assembly.
