Fuel Rail: Service and Repair

CAUTION: Observe all fire hazard precautions detailed in FUEL SYSTEMS / SERVICE PRECAUTIONS, when working on open fuel systems.
Fuel system MUST be depressurized before disconnecting any fueling component.

1. Depressurize fuel system. Fuel Pressure Release

Fuel Pressure Regulator And Fuel Rail:

2. Disconnect fuel supply hose from fuel rail. Fit protective plugs to rail and hose.
3. Disconnect fuel pressure regulator from fuel rail.
4. Loosen nut securing fuel pressure regulator to mounting bracket. Move regulator aside.
5. Note position of injector harness connectors and disconnect connectors from injectors.
6. Remove bolts securing fuel rail.
7. Remove fuel rail assembly.
8. Remove clips securing injectors to rail and remove injectors.
9. Reverse steps to refit. Use new injector seals.
10. Check for fuel leaks.
