Beginning with VIN 613462, Sedan Range vehicles incorporate a new A/C condenser (CBC 8074) with improved thermal efficiency.
The new condenser can be identified by measuring the front to rear dimension, which is 24 mm instead of 28 mm for the previous condenser (CBC 4196).
With the introduction of the new condenser, the refrigerant charge weight has been reduced from 3.0 lbs. +/- 2 ozs (on vehicles using the previous condenser) to 2.5 lbs. +/- 2 ozs for post VIN 613462 vehicles.
When installing the new condenser on pre VIN 613462 vehicles, the charge weight should be adjusted accordingly.
