Automatic Transmission/Transaxle: Adjustments

1. Install end float gauge tool No. JD-106 or equivalent, on stator shaft. Position tool inner collar to shaft and tighten collar securing bolt.
2. Lift the tool/shaft assembly vertically, then measure gap between tool inner collar and shaft using feeler gauges. Correct measurement is 0.3-1.5mm.
3. To correct end float, proceed as follows:
a. Remove pump/bellhousing bolts and the housing, then the shim.
b. Measure shim, then select replacement shim and reinstall.
c. Install housing/pump assembly and recheck endplay.
