Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

Evaporator Temperature Sensor

- Disconnect battery earth lead.
- Remove the passenger dash liner armature. Remove right footwell outlet duct.





- Disconnect multiplug - A/C harness to aspirator (1), and remove harness to unit securing clip and bulkhead tie strap.
- Pull harness clear of bulkhead.
- Remove the sensor securing screws (2), disconnect the multiplug and carefully withdraw the sensor probe from the evaporator.

NOTE: Installation is the reverse of this procedure. Insert the sensor probe squarely into the unit. Use special tool JD 122 for this purpose.

CAUTION: To avoid evaporator matrix damage, take special care when inserting the sensor probe.
