Solar Sensor: Description and Operation

To compensate for the heating effect of the sun within the car, a solar sensor is fitted into the system to reduce interior temperatures by lowering the heating system air outlet temperatures. This sensor is a photo transistor whose sensing voltage varies with ambient light levels. An input is supplied to the sensor from AC4-13 of the HCM. The sensing voltage from the sensor is then fed back into the HCM via AC4-6. This unit is part of the Solar/Alarm sensor module and is not serviceable
