Renewal Procedure

1. Open the hood and fit a wing cover.
2. Open the trunk and remove the battery cover.
3. Disconnect the battery ground lead.
4. Disconnect the MAFS harness multi-plug.
5. Undo and remove the securing nut of the induction manifold elbow mounting.
6. Undo and remove the securing nut of the induction air filter mounting.
7. Slacken the securing clips of the induction manifold elbow hose at the MAFS. Displace and reposition the hose.
8. Displace and reposition the induction manifold elbow from the mounting bobbin.
9. Displace and reposition the induction air filter from the mounting bobbin.
10. Carefully displace and remove the MAFS.
11. Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

NOTE: Fitting a new MAFS is the reverse of the removal procedure. Make sure the O-ring seal is correctly seated and located in the locating dowel of the induction air filter.
