Parking Brake System: Service and Repair

Removal
1. Remove the center console interior trim.





2. Remove the center console fixing bracket





3. Remove the parking brake position switch electrical connector.





4. Remove the air distribution duct.





5. Remove center console rear mounting bracket.





6. Detach the parking brake lever assembly.





7. Remove the parking brake lever assembly.
8. Loosen the rear wheel nuts.
9. Raise and support the vehicle.
10. Remove the rear wheels.





11. Release the rear cable at the caliper.





12. Release the rear conduit.
Release the outer cable tangs.
Release the rear conduit.





13. Remove the front conduit and release lock tab.





14. Remove front cable and conduit from assembly.

Installation
1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
