Front Door Lock Actuator and Cable Assemblies - Revised Repair Procedure

CONDITION SUMMARY:

Situation:

The front door lock actuators and interior release cable assemblies must be replaced together.

Action:

In the event of replacement of either a door lock actuator or interior release cable, refer to the Repair Procedure outlined below to replace both the affected door lock actuator and interior release cable.

REPLACE FRONT DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR AND INTERIOR RELEASE CABLE

NOTE:
Global Technical Reference (GTR) lookup sequence is as follows:

1. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) Section 501-14 to remove the affected door lock actuator.





2. Remove the interior release cable from the door aperture. (Figure 1)

3. Install new interior release cable (C2S 48928) to the door aperture. (Figure 1)

4. Refer to Workshop Manual (GTR) Section 501-14 to install a new door lock actuator (C2S 48923 / C2S 48926).
