Vehicle Speed Sensor/Transducer - Cruise Control: Adjustments



Speed Control Sensor Adjustment

Special Service Tools







1. Raise and support the vehicle.

WARNING: Do not work on or under a vehicle supported only by a jack. Always support the vehicle on safety stands.

2. Remove the front bumper cover.
3. Position the vehicle on a smooth level surface and settle the suspension.

CAUTION: Drive the vehicle on to a flat, level surface.

4. Using the special tool, check the speed sensor is level, (± 0.5 degrees).







5. Using the special tool, set the speed control sensor.
- Rotate the vertical adjuster.
- Adjust using an internal Torx Bit.

NOTE:
- The speed sensor has no mechanical horizontal adjustment.
- Do not release the lock nut.







6. Install the front bumper cover.
