Air Temperature Sensor ( Ambient / Intake ): Service and Repair






Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor

Removal
1 Remove the cover and disconnect the battery ground cable.
2 Remove the engine cover. For additional information, refer to Engine Cover Service and Repair
3 Disconnect the intake air temperature (IAT) sensor electrical connector.




4 Remove the IAT sensor.
- Remove the Torx screw.
- Remove and discard the O-ring seal.

Installation
1 Install the IAT sensor.
- Clean the component mating faces.
- Install a new O-ring seal.
- Tighten the Torx screw.
- Connect the electrical connector.
2 Install the engine cover. For additional information, refer to Engine Cover Service and Repair
3 Connect the battery ground cable and install the cover.
