C-Pillar Trim Panel - Removal

REMOVAL

1. Fold and tumble the second row outboard seat (4) forward against the front seat for easiest access to the seat belt lower anchor and the C-pillar trim.

2. Loosen the bolt (3) that secures the second row outboard seat belt lower anchor (2) and the seat latch striker bracket to the rear floor panel.
3. Disengage the lower anchor from the loosened seat latch striker bracket bolt.

4. Remove the trim plug (1) from the upper c-pillar trim.

CAUTION: The upper trim plug must be removed and discarded to gain access to the upper retaining screw before attempting to remove the trim panel. Failure to remove the trim screw may result in damage to the trim panel or the retaining clip.

5. Using a small drill (2) approximately 3 mm (7/64"), drill a hole into the trim plug (1).

6. Using a hook type tool (1) or equivalent, remove and discard the trim plug (2).

7. Using a magnetic screwdriver or equivalent, remove the upper screw and pull the upper part of the trim panel away from the pillar and release the bottom tabs.
8. Remove the seat belt (3) from the upper C-pillar trim panel (1) through the slot provided and remove the upper C-pillar trim panel.
