Mixture Control Solenoid: Service and Repair

1. Disconnect vacuum hoses and remove air cleaner.
2. Disconnect solenoid wire plug and remove retaining screws.
3. Remove unit from carburetor.
4. Coat rubber seal on end of stem of replacement unit with silicone grease or light engine oil.
5. Using a new gasket install replacement unit in carburetor.

CAUTION: Solenoid step must be aligned accurately in recess at bottom of bowl.

6. Connect solenoid wire plug, install air cleaner and connect vacuum hoses.
