Air Injection: Service and Repair

CHECK VALVE, REPLACE

1. Disconnect pump outlet hose at check valve.
2. Remove check valve from air manifold, being careful not to bend or twist air manifold.
3. Reverse procedure to install.




DIVERTER OR AIR BY-PASS VALVE, REPLACE

4-151 & V8-360 ENGINES

1. Disconnect vacuum line and valve exhaust hose or hoses.
2. Remove diverter or air by-pass valve from pump or from mounting bracket.
3. Reverse procedure to install.



4-151 & V6-173 ENGINES

1. Remove drive belt from air pump pulley.
2. Remove pulley.
3. Disconnect air hoses from air pump, then remove pump from mounting bracket.
4. Reverse procedure to install.
