Torque Specifications

INSTALLATION:

1. Torque all cap bolts with the exception of the the thrust bearing cap bolts.
^ Tighten bolts of caps to 54 Nm (40 ft lb) torque, then tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft lb) torque. Finally, tighten the main bearing cap bolts to 108 Nm (80 ft lb) torque.
2. Tighten the thrust bearing cap bolts
^ Push the crankshaft forward and backward. Then load the crankshaft (by pushing it front or rear) while tightening the thrust bearing cap bolts.
^ Torque to 54 Nm (40 ft lb) torque, then tighten to 95 Nm (70 ft lb) torque. Finally, tighten the main bearing cap bolts to 108 Nm (80 ft lb) torque.
3. Rotate the crankshaft after tightening each main bearing cap to ensure the crankshaft rotates freely.
4. Check crankshaft end play.
