Ignition Control Module: Description and Operation
The
Electronic Ignition Control Unit (EICU) receives ignition signals from the distributor and triggers the coil at the precise instant it is needed. The ECU also monitors the Micro Computer Unit (MCU) for signals that the knock sensor has detected engine knock.
