TPS Adjustment
The adjustment procedure is provided so that the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) can be properly adjusted when removed or replaced. TPS adjustment is done with the Volt/Ohm meter probe on the DRB II and by providing battery voltage and ground to the TPS sensor. All measurements are done automatically with the DRBII.During the TPS adjustment procedure, testing is done automatically to ensure that the TPS can be adjusted within the proper operating range of the sensors applications.
To set the TPS, disconnect the sensor and connect the DRBII probe, battery voltage jumper, and ground jumper as directed by the DRBII display. Loosen the TPS and rotate it in the direction indicated on the display until the message LOCK ADJUSTMENT is shown. Tighten the retaining screw and retest the vehicle.
