Identifying Early/Late Models

There are 2 versions of the 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Differences in information between these versions may be identified by "Early Model" or "Late Model" attributes.

To identify which version you have, check the VIN for the following:

^ If the 12th digit is a 1, then this is an "Early" vehicle
^ If the 12th digit is a 5 or higher, then this is a "Late" vehicle

It is VERY IMPORTANT to correctly identify which version you have. Early/Late vehicles have differences in equipment availability and wiring diagrams.
