Starter Motor: Service and Repair
1.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
2.
Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect
starter motor electrical connections.
3.
Remove support bracket to starter retaining bolts, if equipped.
4.
Remove
starter motor attaching bolts, then the transmission line clip, if equipped.
5.
Remove
starter motor and shims, if used.
6.
Reverse procedure to install. Reinstall any shims that were removed.
