Defroster/Demister Duct Adaptor Replacement

WARNING: On vehicles equipped with airbags, refer to Restraint Systems / Air Bag Systems before attempting any steering wheel, steering column, or instrument panel component diagnosis or service. Failure to take the proper precautions could result in accidental air bag deployment and possible personal injury.

1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to: Body and Frame, Interior Trim, Dashboard/Instrument Panel, Service and Repair, Service and Repair

2. Disconnect the demister hoses from the defrost duct/demister adapter.
3. Remove the three screws that secure the defrost duct/demister adapter to the instrument panel.
4. Remove the defrost duct/demister adapter from the instrument panel.
5. Reverse the removal procedures to install. Tighten the mounting screws to 2.2 Nm (20 in. lbs.).
